Responsibilities:
Policy Analyst is responsible for initiating, developing, implementing, and coordinating policy research and analysis and related advocacy campaigns in the areas of fiscal policies, extractives revenue management, and economic development issues. Policy Analyst will also contribute to networking and coordination of OSF policy analytical work with other institutions and civil society orgnaizations. He/she will work closely with respective managers of OSF and international and regional Open Society Foundations network partners and regional staff.
Required qualifications:
- Strong analytical and research skills and good knowledge of Mongolia’s policy development processes
- Priorexperience, knowledge and interest in policy research/analysis;
- Knowledge of public finances, economics of extractive industries, and/or willingness to learn
- Strong organizational and planning skills;
- Experience with participatory approaches;
- Discretion and ability to handle sensitive issues and work under pressure;
- Ability to communicate with all levels of staff verbally and in writing;
- Excellent English language and computer skills;
- University degree in economic and social sciences, advanced degree preferred
- Citizen of Mongolia
